Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quantity Surveyor to join our growing residential construction and interior design company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all costs related to our turnkey residential projects from initial calculations to final figures. You will ensure that our projects are completed within budget, timelines, and quality standards while maximizing value for money.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and cost estimates based on architectural and interior design drawings.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment for residential and interior fit-out works.
  • Analyze tender submissions, prepare comparative statements, and assist in vendor negotiations.
  • Manage cost planning and budgeting for multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Track project expenditures, monitor costs, and highlight any deviations from the estimated budget.
  • Prepare and process interim valuations, progress claims, and final accounts.
  • Collaborate with site engineers, designers, and procurement teams to ensure material efficiency and cost control.
  • Identify potential variations or claims and assist in pricing and negotiations.
  • Prepare material and work rate analysis.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
  • Conduct site visits to verify work progress and ensure project specifications are met.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience (minimum 2 years) as a Quantity Surveyor in residential construction and interiors.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software like CostX or similar.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and interior finishing techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage deadlines across multiple projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with turnkey project management.
  • Prior experience working with luxury or premium residential interiors.
  • Knowledge of local building regulations and industry best practices.
