The Role
We're hiring a Payroll Assistant who will handle the back-end data work that powers payroll. You'll gather approved data, organize it into clean spreadsheets, run basic completeness checks, and pass a ready-to-use package to the Payroll Coordinator—so payroll can start on time and run smoothly. This role is data-focused and does not edit hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect approved payroll data from designated internal sources.
  • Organize data into clean, standardized spreadsheets (consistent columns, formats, and basic checks).
  • Verify completeness (names, projects, approved hours present); flag gaps to the owning team (no hour edits).
  • Maintain simple logs/trackers (intake list, missing items, period checklist).
  • Build summary tabs by worker/project to support the Coordinator's review.
  • Save files in the right folders with clear names so everything is easy to find.
  • Communicate clearly, follow up on pending items, and meet cut-off timelines.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree (Business, Accounting, Commerce, Engineering, or related).
  • 1–3 years in payroll/timekeeping/data operations (logistics/construction/BPO preferred).
  • Fluent English (spoken & written) for clear email and occasional calls.
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets (filters, basic pivots, lookups, formatting, data validation).
  • High attention to detail, organized filing habits, and reliable follow-through.
  • Team-player mindset with a focus on process and deadlines.
