: Sr. Executive / Asst. Manager Legal Counsel

We are seeking a dynamic member to join our Legal Department at JLL, a leading international property consultancy firm. This role will support the legal team in managing complex legal and compliance matters across our diverse real estate portfolio while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and mitigating legal risks.

Key Responsibilities Legal Operations & Compliance

• Detect and assess legal risks and contractual liabilities, providing legal advice on non-compliant issues.
• Track and report legal incidents.

Contract Management & Advisory

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including property transactions, service agreements, and partnership arrangements.
• Provide legal guidance to business stakeholders on various business matters.
• Monitor contracting activities and implement legal risk mitigation strategies.

Strategic Legal Support

• Research and analyze emerging legal regimes and regulatory changes affecting the REA/IPCs.
• Liaise with external counsel on litigation matters and regulatory investigations.
• Support business development by identifying legal solutions that enable commercial objectives.

Essential Requirements Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 3-6 years post-qualification experience in legal practice, preferably in commercial law, with prior corporate legal environment experience or legal firms.
• Law degree (LLB) from reputed institution.
• Admission to practice law in relevant jurisdiction preferred.

Technical Expertise

• Commercial Contracting: Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements. Understanding of the practical aspects of litigation and regulatory investigations.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Contract Act, Insolvency Code, Stamp Act, Registration Act, and property-specific legislation, RERA Laws, PMLA.
• Compliance Management: Familiarity with data privacy, anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering, and corporate governance frameworks.

Core Competencies

• Exceptional analytical skills for statutory interpretation and legal risk assessment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English & One Indian Language.
• Ability to provide commercially focused legal advice.
• Research capabilities for complex legal matters.
• Relationship management skills for internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
