Job Overview:
The Senior Executive in the Quality Assurance (QA) Department plays a critical role in ensuring the overall quality and compliance of products, services, and processes within the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing the implementation of quality standards, performing audits, identifying process improvements and mentoring junior IQC staff. The Senior Executive will collaborate with various departments to uphold and enhance product quality, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Control & Assurance:
Develop, implement, and manage quality assurance processes and procedures.
Conduct detailed reviews and audits to ensure that products meet quality standards and
specifications.
Perform inspections, testing, and analysis of products, systems, and processes to identify areas
for improvement.
Identify, document, and track defects or non-conformance issues, providing solutions for
corrective actions.
2. Process Improvement:
Lead process improvement initiatives within the department and across teams, based on
analysis of performance data and quality metrics.
Recommend changes to procedures or workflows to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and
quality.
Monitor and assess key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and compliance.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare and maintain detailed reports, including audit findings, corrective action plans, and
root cause analysis.
Ensure that all QA documentation, including test records, compliance reports, and
certifications, are up to date and accurately maintained.
Provide detailed insights to senior management on the status of QA activities and initiatives.
4. Compliance & Regulatory Standards:
Ensure that all products and processes comply with internal quality standards as well as
external regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, FDA, etc.).
Stay updated with the latest industry standards, regulations, and trends in quality assurance.
5. Training & Mentoring:
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior QA staff, ensuring they are well-equipped to
perform their tasks efficiently.
Conduct training sessions for team members on quality standards, tools, and best practices.
6. Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, production, and
operations, to resolve quality-related issues.
Facilitate communication between departments to ensure timely resolution of any quality
concerns.
Participate in project meetings to ensure quality considerations are integrated into the product
development process.
7. Customer Satisfaction:
Address customer complaints related to quality issues and ensure resolution in a timely
manner.
Support customer quality audits and inquiries, providing documentation and explanations
when necessary.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
years of experience in Quality Assurance or a related field, with at least [Y] years in a senior or
supervisory role.
Proven track record of successfully managing quality processes and teams.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, etc.).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with quality testing tools, software, and methods.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings and solutions clearly to all levels of staff and management.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt) or similar quality management certification.
Experience in a specific industry, such as manufacturing, healthcare, or software development,
depending on the organization.
Knowledge of statistical methods and tools (e.g., Minitab, SPSS).
Familiarity with regulatory audits and compliance standards (e.g., FDA, GMP, ISO).
