Job Overview
: The VP – Banking Alliances will lead strategic partnerships with banks, payment institutions, and financial networks to drive CMS product growth, revenue, and compliance readiness. The role involves high-level relationship management, commercial negotiations, and collaboration with product, legal, compliance, and technology teams.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Strategic Partnerships & Alliances
- Build and manage relationships with banks, NBFCs, payment service providers, and settlement partners.
- Identify, negotiate, and close partnership deals for CMS, escrow, payout, and API-based banking products.
- Develop alliance roadmaps and ensure mutual growth plans with banking partners.
2. CMS Product & Business Expansion
- Drive adoption and integration of Cash Management Services (CMS), Escrow, Virtual Accounts, Bulk Payouts, and Collection Products.
- Work closely with product & tech teams for seamless implementation and go-live.
- Monitor SLAs, pricing models, and commercial structures with banking partners.
3. Revenue & Growth Ownership
- Manage P&L and growth targets for the banking alliance vertical.
- Develop monetization strategies and ensure partner-driven business expansion.
- Track KPIs, portfolio performance, and ROI from each alliance.
4. Compliance & Risk Coordination
- Coordinate with internal compliance and legal teams to ensure regulatory alignment (RBI, FIU, PCI-DSS, etc.).
- Manage documentation, agreements, audits, KYC, and due diligence processes.
- Address partner escalations related to settlement, chargebacks, and transaction monitoring.
5. Stakeholder & Leadership Collaboration
- Act as the key liaison for banks with CXOs, legal, product, finance, and operations teams.
- Represent the company in high-level meetings, reviews, and regulatory interactions.
- Manage internal reporting, budgeting, and strategic planning for alliances.
Skills & Competencies
Strong network across banks, FI partners, and fintech ecosystem
Expertise in CMS, escrow, payouts, virtual accounts, API banking
Proven negotiation and deal-closure track record
Understanding of fintech regulations and compliance frameworks
Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills
Ability to work with cross-functional internal teams
Educational Background (Preferred)
- MBA/PGDM in Finance, Business, or Strategy
- Graduate in Commerce, Finance, Economics, or related fields
