Vision

Yaad is pioneering the shift from passive study (re-reading, highlighting, etc.) to
neuroscience-backed techniques
like spaced repetition and active recall. We are one of the
first focused revision apps
in an
underserved market
that largely offers teaching and testing; we provide a true revision solution. Today, we deliver focused revision and mastery tracking; next, we are building an
AI-guided personalization
layer with thoughtful
gamification
to make it effortless. We are starting with
UPSC
, with 127+ students on our waitlist validating demand at the MVP stage.

What you will do

  • Own product and architecture across Flutter (mobile), React (web) and Python APIs; ship end-to-end features fast with a strong quality bar.
  • Stand up and operate Firebase (Firestore, Auth, Functions, Security Rules) and GCP (deploy, CI/CD, logging, monitoring, reliability).
  • Plan and lead LLM integrations: prompt design, evaluation, guardrails and practical API usage to enhance learning flows.
  • Build telemetry and learning loops: instrument events, create lightweight dashboards and iterate based on evidence.
  • Establish security and privacy foundations from day one (auth, least-privilege access, secure coding, data handling).
  • Build an AI-first org by automating repetitive workflows across product, growth and marketing, support and operations, and HR, finance and legal.
  • Founding scope: final say on technical decisions with deep product ownership.

Compensation and terms

  • Equity:
    50% founding split, with 4-year vesting and a 1-year cliff (standard reverse-vesting). Vesting starts on your full-time start date.
  • Cash compensation:
    none until the company has sustainable revenue or secures external funding sufficient to support founder salaries.
  • Founder agreements:
    standard IP assignment (the company owns work product created for Yaad), confidentiality and conflict-of-interest provisions, documented in a Co-founder Agreement.
