Supervisor, BI

Overview:

THE ROLE:

This role is responsible for providing business insights and supporting decision-making related to Distributor, Customer, or Product behavior. It specializes in the analytics and interpretation of data to provide insightful ongoing and ad-hoc analysis supporting decision-making. The role encourages a culture of data excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:

• Update and creation of analysis, reports, or dashboards.
• Perform analysis and modeling on reports/data extracts using BI tools, Excel, or Power BI.
• Provide advanced analysis and insights related to Distributor, Customer, or Product.
• Develop logic, build from scratch, and maintain analytical reports (both ad-hoc and scheduled) using Excel, BI/MicroStrategy, and/or Access programs.
• Optimize and improve efficiencies, quality, timeliness, and relevance of reports, dashboards, and processes. Seek opportunities for automation or enhancement of existing methodologies.
• Using observations, develop or participate in the collaborative development of data requirements and analytics methodologies.
• Provide guidance and enable best practices sharing within the team and across the department.
• Develop collaborative relationships and influence stakeholders up, down, and across organizational lines.
• Create complex data models to simulate What-If scenarios to test the impact of potential changes to business conditions, marketing plans, or promotional activities.
• Communicate insights to leadership, highlighting key points, achievements, areas for improvement, and recommended actions.
• Understand the business context of requests and drive quality technical solutions to provide results supporting business decision-making.
• Communicate conclusions clearly and concisely (graphs, charts, PowerPoint, and verbal presentations) to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Create or update ad-hoc analyses in response to business questions specifically intended to understand or describe specific Distributor, Customer, Product, or Market behavior.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Ensure data is complete, accurate, and aligned with expectations.

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• 5+ years of experience with data analysis tools such as Power BI and MicroStrategy.
• Ability to interact effectively with individuals from different countries and cultures, showing sensitivity to cultural diversity.
• Ability to communicate ideas and analysis results effectively both verbally and in writing to analytical and non-analytical audiences.
• Ability to recognize and define problems, understand business and system processes, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Demonstrated ability to formulate and communicate questions to gather necessary missing information to resolve a problem.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Goal-oriented, able to manage multiple projects with superior time management and organizational skills.
• Able and willing to work in a fast-paced environment with demanding deadlines.
• 5+ years of experience in statistics, data analysis, and data visualization.
• Ability to research, understand, and apply new technologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, including strong communication skills.

Education

BA/B.Com in Business, Economics, Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
