Role Overview

We are seeking a Purchase Executive with solid experience in procurement of spices, dehydrated vegetables, spray-dried ingredients, and dried leaf products. The role involves vendor management, negotiation, and ensuring timely procurement aligned with sales requirements.

Key Responsibilities

·       Handle the entire purchase portfolio of raw materials.

·       Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and develop new vendor networks.

·       Communicate regularly with the Sales team to ensure stock and sample availability.

·       Source raw materials directly from origin to ensure competitiveness.

·       Ensure timely receipt of goods to meet lead time and sales commitments.

·       Forecast sales enquiry patterns and proactively develop new product categories.

·       Monitor pending purchases and samples, ensuring timely follow-ups.

·       Report daily/weekly updates directly to the Director.

·       Take ownership of day-to-day procurement activities and ensure smooth functioning.

·       Foster a positive and healthy work culture/environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum Experience: 2 years in procurement, specifically in food ingredients (spices & related categories).
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Highly organized, result-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific procurement practices.
  • Languages: English & Hindi (mandatory). Tamil knowledge will be an added advantage.
