Role Overview

We are seeking a Purchase Executive with solid experience in procurement of spices, dehydrated vegetables, spray-dried ingredients, and dried leaf products. The role involves vendor management, negotiation, and ensuring timely procurement aligned with sales requirements.

Key Responsibilities

       Handle the entire purchase portfolio of raw materials.

       Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and develop new vendor networks.

       Communicate regularly with the Sales team to ensure stock and sample availability.

       Source raw materials directly from origin to ensure competitiveness.

       Ensure timely receipt of goods to meet lead time and sales commitments.

       Forecast sales enquiry patterns and proactively develop new product categories.

       Monitor pending purchases and samples, ensuring timely follow-ups.

       Report daily/weekly updates directly to the Director.

       Take ownership of day-to-day procurement activities and ensure smooth functioning.

       Foster a positive and healthy work culture/environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum Experience: 2 years in procurement, specifically in food ingredients (spices & related categories).
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Highly organized, result-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific procurement practices.
  • Languages: English & Hindi (mandatory). Tamil knowledge will be an added advantage.
