Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate daily school transportation schedules and routes.
  • Ensure timely arrival and departure of buses.
  • Supervise school bus drivers and support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, traffic laws, and school policies.
  • Conduct regular safety checks of school vehicles.
  • Arrange for driver training and safety briefings.
  • Serve as the point of contact for transportation-related concerns from parents, staff, and students.
  • Communicate route changes, delays, or emergencies promptly.
  • Liaise with local traffic authorities and vehicle service providers.
  • Monitor maintenance schedules and inspections of all school vehicles.
  • Keep detailed logs of routes, schedules, incidents, and maintenance history.
  • Ensure proper documentation of drivers' licenses, permits, and background checks.
  • Supervise, schedule, and evaluate drivers.
  • Handle driver discipline and performance issues when necessary.
  • Assist in recruitment and onboarding of new transportation staff.
  • May involve early morning or late afternoon shifts.
  • Some weekend or evening work may be required for school events.
  • Work is both office-based and on-site with transport vehicles.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience in transportation/logistics management or a supervisory role.
  • Valid driver's license (preferably with a commercial vehicle endorsement).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and handle emergency situations calmly.
  • Familiarity with GPS tracking systems and route planning tools is an advantage.
