Lead Software Product Manager

Knowfinity Academy LLP is seeking a highly motivated and versatile Lead Software Product Manager to own product vision, strategy, and delivery for our software offerings. This role is a senior product leadership position with a strong technical background — you will drive product direction and collaborate closely with engineering teams on architecture and technical trade-offs. It is not a full-time engineering role, but occasional hands-on contributions (architecture guidance, design reviews, and selective coding or prototyping) may be expected.

Key Responsibilities

As The Lead Software Product Manager, You Will Focus On Product Leadership While Partnering With Engineering And QA To Ensure Successful Delivery

• Product Strategy & Roadmap
• Define vision & roadmap: Own product strategy, translate business objectives into a prioritized roadmap, and set measurable goals for product outcomes.
• Stakeholder alignment: Work with customers, business stakeholders, sales, and marketing to gather requirements, validate assumptions, and ensure clear product-market fit.
• Execution oversight: Lead delivery planning with engineering and design, define success metrics, and ensure releases meet business and user needs.
• Technical Collaboration & Leadership
• Technical product partnership: Provide technical context to product decisions, participate in architecture discussions, and advise on scalability, security, and performance trade-offs.
• Code & review expectations (limited): Participate in design and code reviews, and create prototypes or proof-of-concepts when needed. This role is not expected to perform day-to-day engineering or be the primary code contributor.
• Operational collaboration: Coordinate with engineering and SRE on production incidents and ensure timely resolution; you will facilitate troubleshooting, prioritization, and long-term fixes rather than act as the primary on-call developer.
• Delivery Management & Team Leadership
• Cross-functional leadership: Lead and mentor product owners, coordinate with engineering managers, designers, and QA to ensure clear requirements and timely delivery.
• Process & quality: Establish product development processes, release practices, and acceptance criteria to maintain high quality and predictable delivery.
• Quality Assurance & Documentation
• Quality ownership: Work with QA to define test strategy, acceptance tests, and automation priorities; ensure releases meet functional and non-functional requirements.
• Documentation: Ensure product specs, API documentation, and user guides are maintained and accessible for internal teams and customers.

• ~60% Product strategy, stakeholder management, and roadmap planning
• ~20% Technical leadership, architecture decisions, and reviews

• ~10% QA oversight, documentation, and occasional prototyping

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a senior product manager (5+ years preferred) owning SaaS or enterprise software products through definition to delivery.
• Strong technical background (engineering experience or equivalent exposure) with the ability to engage in architecture discussions and code reviews; hands-on coding is occasional and not the core expectation.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, QA) and leading product discovery, prioritization, and delivery.
• Solid understanding of security best practices and handling of sensitive data.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to influence stakeholders, and proven track record of shipping high-quality software products.
