Drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation. Select suppliers through qualification processes. Own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards. Own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed. Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.

For BOP & Auxiliary

  • Drive a strong EHS, Nuclear Safety, CFSI, Quality, Compliance and Lean culture at supplier works.
  • Drive continuous improvement to track key performance indicators (KPIs) e.g. Documentation and inspection FPY, on time delivery, NCR, Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) etc

  • Full implementation of internal procedure during qualification

  • Co-ordinate with sourcing, project quality and engineering during execution.

  • Driving Supplier Quality Improvement Programs to enhance supplier performance and base.

  • Ensure implementation of proactive supplier audit program to minimize and ultimately eliminate product and process risk as well as customer and factory escapes.

  • Coordinate with the ordering unit SQE for effective management of cross-region Purchase Orders and Product Qualifications.

  • Can conduct KOM & PIM with stake holders.

  • Maintaining detailed reports on supplier quality, including defect rates and areas that result in flaws.

  • Conducting tests and assessments on products to identify quality issues.

  • Encourage a culture of support, cooperation, trust, and open reporting culture.

  • Through knowledge of raw material manufacturing process (e.g., Material rolling & Casting)
  • Hands on experience in Nuclear/Steam turbine Balance of plant (BOPs) and Auxiliary items manufacturing at supplier site e.g., Piping, tank, skid system, valves, filters etc.
  • In depth experience in inspection methodology BOP/Auxiliary items e.g., Dimension, GD&T, Hydro test, System function & performance test, FAT, NDT, WPS/PQR/WPQ etc.
  • Sound knowledge in manufacturing process like Metal Fabrication, Heat treatment, Machining, Surface coating(painting), casting, Forging etc.
  • Hands on with lean tools e.g., FMEA, 8D/A3 etc.

SQE Qualification:

  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing and in vendor development. Preferably 10-12 years of experience.
  • Excellent statistical analysis and quality assurance skills.
  • Ability to provide guidance to improve process efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • ASNT Level-II and/or ISO 9712 level-II in UT, RT, MT & PT
  • Hands on with Microsoft office, smart sheet, tableau, SAP etc preferred.
  • Knowledge of international code and standard e.g. ASME, EN,ISO,ASTM, DIN, BIS etc.
