Job Title: Deputy Vice President (Dy. VP) Cyber Benchmarking Hub

Basic Qualifications (Mandatory)

  • BE/ B.Tech in any discipline from a University/Institution/Board recognized by Govt. of India/approved by Govt. Regulatory bodies. OR
  • MCA/ M.E./ M.Tech/ M.Sc in any discipline from a University/Institution/Board recognized by Govt. of India/approved by Govt. Regulatory bodies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Cybersecurity or Information Technology.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, PMP, or MBA (Technology Management).

Experience (Mandatory)

  • 12+ years overall experience, with 8–10 years in Cyber Innovation & Simulation.

Experience (Preferred)

  • Experience in designing, managing, or implementing cybersecurity innovation initiatives and cyber solution simulations.

  • Prior work in IT companies, BFSI institutions, government cybersecurity setups, consulting organizations, or related sectors in domains such as:

  • Cyber Innovation

  • Information Security
  • Cyber Defense

  • Cyber Policy

  • Experience in establishing or working in a Centre of Excellence (CoE).

Key Skills & Competencies

The Dy. VP – Cyber Benchmarking Hub must combine innovation, simulation, and evaluation expertise to strengthen SBI's cyber defense through benchmarking frameworks.

Innovation & Simulation Skills

  • Hands-on experience in designing and running cybersecurity simulations to test resilience, response, and preparedness.
  • Ability to develop and benchmark cyber solutions against global standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in cybersecurity innovation labs or testbeds, driving experimentation and outcome-driven research.

Strategic & Analytical Skills

  • Ability to analyze and benchmark cybersecurity maturity across frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, PCI-DSS, RBI/SEBI requirements).
  • Strong skills in critical thinking, data-driven evaluation, and performance measurement.
  • Capability to derive insights for continuous improvement in cyber resilience.

Leadership & Program Management Skills

  • Ability to set up and manage cyber benchmarking initiatives within a CoE environment.
  • Strong program and project management knowledge with proven ability to deliver innovation-centric programs.
  • People management, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • High ethical standards, with a strong moral compass and commitment to public service, ethics, and integrity.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication to present simulation outcomes, benchmarking reports, and improvement roadmaps.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with senior stakeholders in BFSI, government, industry, and academia.

Role Objective

The Deputy Vice President – Cyber Benchmarking Hub will:

  • Lead SBI's cyber benchmarking and simulation programs, ensuring the organization's preparedness against evolving threats.
  • Develop and manage simulation-driven cyber resilience initiatives to measure and strengthen SBI's security posture.
  • Align benchmarking outcomes with global best practices, regulatory requirements, and SBI's organizational objectives.
  • Foster innovation-driven evaluation frameworks, enhancing SBI's role as a leader in cybersecurity readiness.
