Job Title: Deputy Vice President (Dy. VP) Cyber Research

Basic Qualifications (Mandatory)

  • BE/ B.Tech degree in any discipline from a University/Institution/Board recognized by Govt. of India/approved by Govt. Regulatory bodies. OR
  • MCA/ M.E./ M.Tech/ M.Sc degree in any discipline from a University/Institution/Board recognized by Govt. of India/approved by Govt. Regulatory bodies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Cybersecurity or Information Technology.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, PMP, or MBA (Technology Management).

Experience (Mandatory)

  • 12+ years overall experience, with 8–10 years in Cyber Research.

Experience (Preferred)

  • Proven experience in leading cybersecurity research projects and initiatives.
  • Background in cybersecurity roles in IT companies, BFSI institutions, government cybersecurity setups, consulting organizations, or relevant sectors (Information Security, Cyber Policy, Innovation, Cyber Defense, etc.).
  • Experience in establishing or working in a Centre of Excellence (CoE).
  • Track record of developing cybersecurity strategies, frameworks, and standards.
  • Strong technical background in areas such as cloud computing, networking, programming languages relevant to cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.

  • Experience in aligning research outcomes with organizational cybersecurity strategies.

  • Ability to mentor and guide research teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • High ethical standards with a commitment to public service, ethics, and integrity.

Communication & Advocacy Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to disseminate research outcomes.
  • Strong presentation and publication record in cybersecurity forums, industry bodies, or academia.
  • Ability to engage with regulators, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to advocate research-driven insights.

Role Objective

The Deputy Vice President – Cyber Research will:

  • Drive cutting-edge research programs that strengthen SBI's cybersecurity posture and industry leadership.
  • Develop research-driven cybersecurity frameworks and best practices, contributing to the national and global discourse.
  • Build and maintain a high level of cybersecurity expertise within the organization and broader community.
  • Translate research findings into policy inputs, innovation roadmaps, and actionable strategies.
  • Shape the future of cybersecurity standards and practices through thought leadership and active participation in research ecosystems.
