Job Title: Deputy Vice President (Dy. VP) Cyber Policy Hub

Basic Qualifications (Mandatory)

  • BE/ B.Tech in any discipline from a University/Institution/Board recognized by Govt. of India/approved by Govt. Regulatory bodies. OR
  • MCA/ M.E./ M.Tech/ M.Sc in any discipline from a University/Institution/Board recognized by Govt. of India/approved by Govt. Regulatory bodies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Cybersecurity or Information Technology.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, PMP, or MBA (Technology Management).

Experience (Mandatory)

  • 12+ years overall experience, with 8–10 years in Cyber Policy.

Experience (Preferred)

  • Experience in managing or working within a cybersecurity policy/governance environment.

  • Prior work in IT companies, BFSI institutions, government cybersecurity setups, consulting organizations, or related sectors in domains such as:

  • Information Security

  • Cyber Policy
  • Cyber Innovation

  • Cyber Defense

  • Experience in establishing or working in a Centre of Excellence (CoE) is an added advantage.

Key Skills & Competencies

The Dy. VP – Cyber Policy Hub must bring a balanced mix of policy expertise, leadership, and technical knowledge to help shape and execute SBI's cyber policy agenda.

Policy & Strategic Skills

  • Experience in formulating, implementing, and managing cybersecurity policies aligned with business and regulatory needs.
  • Ability to derive long-term cybersecurity policy frameworks aligned with SBI's objectives.
  • Experience in policy advocacy, communication, and dissemination at organizational and industry levels.
  • Capability to design and monitor key metrics for policy effectiveness and compliance.

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity policy, governance, and innovation programs.
  • Knowledge of advanced cybersecurity concepts, emerging technologies, and industry disruptions.
  • Ability to stay updated with evolving threats, regulatory developments, and best practices.
  • Proven skills in critical thinking, data analysis, and evidence-based policy development.

Leadership & Program Management Skills

  • Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring skills.
  • Experience in managing multi-stakeholder environments (BFSI, government, academia, consulting).
  • Knowledge of program management principles, processes, and project delivery.
  • Ability to work independently or in small teams while ensuring delivery of innovation-driven policy programs.
  • High ethical standards with a moral compass rooted in public service, ethics, and integrity.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey policy and governance concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work with senior stakeholders in government, academia, industry, and BFSI.

Role Objective

The Deputy Vice President – Cyber Policy Hub will:

  • Lead and manage SBI's Cyber Policy Hub, ensuring the development, advocacy, and execution of robust cybersecurity policies.
  • Drive policy innovation, regulatory alignment, and long-term frameworks to strengthen SBI's cybersecurity governance.
  • Establish SBI as a leader in cyber policy thought leadership by working with external stakeholders (government, regulators, industry bodies, academia).
  • Ensure SBI's cyber policy hub serves as a central point for policy creation, monitoring, and dissemination to enhance organizational resilience.
