We are seeking an accomplished Executive Director to lead and oversee our software development and technology initiatives. This senior leadership role requires a visionary individual with over 15 to 20 years of extensive experience in software development, cloud architecture, and team management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving innovation, managing large-scale projects, and aligning technical strategies with organizational goals. This position is critical for ensuring the successful execution of multiple initiatives that enhance our competitive edge in the market.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Define and articulate the technical vision for the organization, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends.
- Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive technology roadmaps that support multiple initiatives across the organization.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, advocating for the adoption of emerging technologies, particularly in AI and cloud computing.
Technical Oversight:
- Provide high-level guidance on software development practices, ensuring proficiency in languages such as C#, Java, Python, and JavaScript.
- Champion Agile and DevOps methodologies across teams to enhance collaboration, efficiency, and product quality.
- Lead the design and architecture of scalable cloud solutions using AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS), emphasizing resilience and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure robust database management practices, leveraging both SQL and NoSQL technologies for optimal data storage solutions.
- Oversee the implementation of cloud security best practices and compliance measures (e.g., GDPR) across all technology initiatives.
- Drive the integration of AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) into software solutions, ensuring effective data preprocessing and model deployment.
Team and Initiative Management:
- Mentor and develop senior leadership within the software engineering teams, promoting a high-performance culture and talent retention.
- Manage and oversee multiple technology initiatives, ensuring effective prioritization, resource allocation, and alignment with strategic goals.
- Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, including executives, product managers, and clients, to facilitate communication and collaboration on technical projects.
Operational Excellence:
- Utilize advanced analytical skills to identify complex technical and operational challenges, developing innovative solutions to drive efficiency.
- Oversee budget management for technology initiatives, optimizing resource allocation and ensuring financial accountability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 to 20 years of experience in software development, cloud architecture, and technology leadership, with a proven track record in a senior management role.
- Extensive knowledge of cloud architecture, security, compliance, and AI technologies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for driving innovation and excellence in technology.
