About the role

This role is responsible to oversee and coordinates the entire life cycle of the construction projects, from planning and budgeting to

execution and final handover to the store. Coordinate with Project owner, Retail planners, Design Standards and QS team to

understand the project details/requirements and liaise with procurement to get the best price.

You will be responsible for

  • Collaborate with Project owner,retail planners, design standards, QS etc. to determine the specifications of the

project.

  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource/supplier allocation.
  • Liaise with procurement to negotiate contracts with suppliers.
  • Monitor spend and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Lead and manage the Natural Working Team (NWT), suppliers and consultants.
  • Ensure the works are delivered as per Tesco Design standard and Health & safety construction regulatory standards.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of project progress, changes, and approvals.
  • Provide regular updates to Project owner and NWT.
  • Closing down the Project with all Snags completed.
  • First line team supervisory responsibility on process mentoring on the job training, coordinating and communicating
  • Understands business needs and in depth understanding of Tesco processes
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as required by management
  • Driving CI culture, implementing CI projects and innovation for withing the team

You will need

  • Preferred Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Civil)
  • Preferred experience in Construction Project Management. (min 6 years)
  • Able to read and understand a Retail / site Plan
  • Construction Project management
  • Understand Retail planning and design
  • Verbal and email communication
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety regulations
  • Financial and cost management awareness
