Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programmer, located in Bengaluru. The CNC Programmer will be responsible for developing and optimizing CNC programming for machining and milling operations. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting technical drawings, creating and testing CNC programs, setting up machinery, and ensuring the production of high-quality components. The candidate will collaborate closely with the engineering team to meet tight schedules and adhere to quality standards while troubleshooting and solving any production issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create CNC programs using
    SolidCAM
    based on engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Set up and operate
    CNC / TMC / VMC
    machines for production and new component trials.
  • Select appropriate tools, cutters, and fixtures to optimize machining operations.
  • Verify and validate programs through simulation and first-piece inspection.
  • Ensure dimensional accuracy by conducting in-process and final inspections.
  • Optimize cutting parameters for cycle time reduction and tool life improvement.
  • Maintain and update program documentation, setup sheets, and tool lists.
  • Troubleshoot machining and programming issues effectively.
  • Ensure machines are properly maintained, cleaned, and calibrated.
  • Coordinate with design, quality, and maintenance teams for smooth workflow.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain housekeeping in the work area.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficient in
    SolidCAM / CAM software
    and G & M code programming.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC, TMC, and VMC operations and controls (Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi).
  • Good understanding of
    engineering drawings, GD&T, and machining processes
    .
  • Skilled in
    tool selection
    , cutting parameters, and process optimization.
