AV Programmer this position is primarily responsible for providing control system programming support for a variety of audio visual (AV) and video teleconferencing (VTC) project.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of automation and AV control systems.
  • Skilled in project planning and documenting installation and programming information.
  • Thorough knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods.
  • Maintain responsibility for programming from scratch and updating AMX control system source code using the manufacturer provided programming tools, including NetLinx Studio, SIMPLWindows and SystemBuilder.
  • Create touch panel interfaces using the AMX/CRESTRON programming tools, including TP Design
  • In-depth knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
  • knowledge of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control, and operation of telecommunications systems.
  • Sound knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
  • Excellent in integrating individual modules of software.
  • Designed and Developed Control Programs for Control Systems.
  • Involved in both front end and back end of the project development.
  • Prepared instruction guides for end users regarding AV system installation.
  • Analysed and resolved issues associated with control and audio systems.
  • Participated in integration projects and participated in programming code reviews.
  • Debugged Control systems and administered integrated computing systems. Programming & simulating the control processor according to the CAD drawings.
  • Qualified candidates will possess a strong knowledge and work experience dealing with various commercial AV control systems such as Crestron, AMX, Extron, BiAmp, Polycom, Tandberg, etc.

Skills Requirements

  • Solid knowledge of audio-visual connectivity and signal flow.
  • Understanding of AMX/CRESTRON programming cause/effect impact on overall audio visual systems.
  • Ability to maintain program version control and adhere to configuration management.
  • Experience reading wiring diagrams and system design drawings.
  • Extensive knowledge of RS232/422/485 and IP based control protocol products.
  • Strong system evaluation, system testing, documentation and reporting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation, excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work cooperatively with others in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications: -

  • Bachelors degree or its equivalent.
  • 2+ years programming experience in AV Technology, AMX/CRESTRON control system source code and touch panel interface with deep working knowledge of Polycom, Tandberg, Clear One, Biamp, Lutron, Plasmas and Projectors, AMX/Crestron AV gear, and others.

Certification :

  • InfoComm Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) Certification.
  • For AV Audio System ((Biamp, Extron, ClearOne, Shure, Sennheiser, AMX, Crestron and/or etc.).
  • Crestron Certified Programmer certification is required; MCP / Masters is preferred,
