Role Summary

Were looking for a user-centric yet technically grounded Product Manager to own the Configurations and Masters module of Safetrax. This person will ensure that every configurable element — from routes and vehicles to pricing, shift timings, and access rules — is flexible, reliable, and intuitive. You'll work closely with engineering, design, and operations to simplify complex workflows, streamline setup for customers, and build scalable configurations that reduce dependency on tech support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Configurations & Masters roadmap — define and evolve the foundation that powers Safetrax's flexibility across clients and deployments.
  • Deeply understand system dependencies and data models to design scalable configuration patterns.
  • Collaborate with engineering to simplify schema structures, API behavior, and data relationships in master modules (Employee, Vendor, Route, Site, Vehicle, etc.).
  • Partner with Customer Success & Implementation teams to reduce onboarding friction via smarter defaults, templates, and configuration UX.
  • Drive standardization across configurations (naming, hierarchy, versioning) to ensure reliability and auditability.
  • Define metrics for configuration health, usage, and errors, and use data to prioritize improvements.
  • Write clear, detailed PRDs and release notes that help non-technical teams understand and leverage new capabilities.
  • Advocate for user experience within configuration-heavy workflows — ensuring they're powerful yet usable.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS / platform products with heavy configuration or master-data components.
  • Solid understanding of APIs, data models, dependencies, and backend systems (you can speak the same language as engineers).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to untangle legacy dependencies and design cleaner models.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Ops, Support, Implementation).
  • Excellent communication — you can explain a complex configuration in a way a non-technical user understands.

Bonus: Experience with transport/logistics tech or ERP-style platforms.
