Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Officer/Sr. Sales Officer to lead market development and sales operations for the wood coating segment within a leading Indian multinational paint and chemical manufacturing company based in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding market presence, driving sales performance, and strengthening relationships with dealers, distributors. This role involves strategic planning, product launch execution, competitive analysis, and team leadership to achieve aggressive sales targets. The position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of premium wood coating solutions in a rapidly evolving market, leveraging deep industry knowledge and commercial acumen.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead sales and market development initiatives for the wood coating product segment.
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with dealers, distributors, and key retail/OEM clients.
  • Drive market penetration and brand positioning for premium wood coating products.
  • Coordinate with internal sales teams and departments to ensure alignment and target achievement.
  • Plan and execute successful product launches with clear go-to-market strategies.
  • Analyze market trends, product performance, and customer feedback to inform business decisions.
  • Develop and implement promotional schemes and competitive strategies to enhance market share.
  • Monitor sales performance, track volume growth, and support field teams with targeted promotional activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering with an MBA in Chemical Industry, OR
  • Degree in Paint Technology (from any industry), OR
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in the wood coating segment (any educational background), OR
  • Proven experience in the chemical industry with a strong understanding of coating products and market dynamics.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills with a track record of sales achievement.
