Role Overview:

The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for managing, tracking, and maintaining all physical and digital inventory across stores and the online platform. This includes monitoring outfit movement, ensuring data accuracy, coordinating with the styling and cataloging teams, and optimizing stock availability for rentals.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the
    Inventory Management System
    .
  • Track outfits from sourcing to maintenance, publishing, rental, and return.
  • Conduct periodic stock audits and reconcile physical vs. system stock.
  • Flag missing, damaged, or pending-return outfits promptly.
  • Create and maintain
    styling guides
    for inventory to assist with outfit combinations and recommendations.

Cataloging Coordination:

  • Share updated inventory status with the cataloging team for online uploads.
  • Coordinate measurement, photoshoot, and publishing schedules.
  • Ensure all outfits are tagged, measured, and updated with accurate details (size, color, designer, condition, etc.).

Logistics & Returns:

  • Track couriered and returned outfits daily.
  • Update the system with return status and cleaning or repair requirements.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely pickup and delivery.

Reporting & Analytics:

  • Prepare and maintain
    daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports
    related to inventory status and performance.
  • Analyze data to identify trends in outfit utilization, demand, and turnaround time.
  • Track
    inventory performance metrics
    like active outfits, published vs. pending, rental frequency, and aging stock.
  • Provide actionable insights to improve stock accuracy, availability, and productivity across stores.

Cross-Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Styling, Operations, Cataloging, Sales, and Digital teams to ensure stock accuracy and product availability both online and offline.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Management, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in inventory, fashion operations, or e-commerce.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets and inventory management systems.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in fashion rental, e-commerce, or sustainability-focused business.
  • Understanding of garment handling, styling combinations, and tagging.
  • Familiarity with AI-based cataloging or ERP tools.
