Job Title: Inventory Planner

Location - Pune

Job Summary

The Replenishment Planner will be responsible for analyzing sales trends, planning inventory replenishment across multiple channels, and ensuring optimal stock levels to support business performance. This role requires strong coordination with Merchandising teams, diligent management of inventory health, and accurate maintenance of all ordering and audit-related records.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Analysis & Replenishment Planning

  • Analyze sales trends, demand patterns, and channel-wise performance to plan replenishment orders effectively.
  • Develop and manage replenishment strategies to ensure product availability while minimizing excess inventory.

Purchase Order Management

  • Set ordering cycles based on business requirements, lead times, and product behavior.
  • Raise and release Purchase Orders (POs) in a timely manner to meet stock allocation and fulfillment targets.

Inventory Health Management

  • Monitor and maintain inventory hygiene, including Days of Inventory on Hand (DOH), Out-of-Stock (OOS) levels, and slow or non-moving inventory.
  • Recommend liquidation plans, stock transfers, or buying adjustments to improve inventory efficiency.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate with the Merchandising team for New Product Development (NPD) requirements and ensure timely onboarding of new items.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Finance teams for smooth replenishment and stock flow.

Data Management & Audit Readiness

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date inventory and ordering data, ensuring all documentation is complete for internal and external audits.
  • Generate periodic reports on sales, inventory status, purchase orders, and performance metrics.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Analytics, Business, Operations, or related field.
  • 2–6 years of experience in inventory planning, replenishment, demand planning, or merchandising roles.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with ERP or inventory systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.
  • Detail-oriented, process-driven, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
