Job Title: DGM Finance

Reporting To: CFO

Role Objective:

To lead and manage the companys corporate accounting, statutory compliance, and financial reporting functions in line with Indian and international accounting standards. This role is key in ensuring the integrity of financial systems, timely reporting, and strong internal control mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities:

Corporate Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including GL, AR, AP, fixed assets, and payroll accounting
  • Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books with accuracy and timeliness
  • Lead preparation and finalization of standalone and consolidated financial statements as per Ind AS / IFRS
  • Review and implement standard accounting procedures, chart of accounts, and financial controls across the organization

Audit & Compliance

  • Liaise with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and tax auditors for timely completion of audits
  • Ensure adherence to internal control frameworks, audit recommendations, and process improvements
  • Prepare financial statements and disclosures in compliance with Companies Act, Income Tax Act, and other regulatory guidelines

GST & Taxation

  • Oversee timely and accurate filing of GST returns, reconciliation of GST ledgers, and input credit validation
  • Handle GST audits, assessments, and coordinate with consultants for resolving tax matters
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and ensure implementation across business units
  • Provide oversight for TDS, advance tax, and other direct/indirect tax compliance

IFRS & Regulatory Reporting

  • Ensure accurate application of IFRS and Ind AS in financial reporting
  • Prepare financial reports for investors, regulators, and lenders as required
  • Support the CFO in presenting financials to board members and stakeholders

System & Process Improvement

  • Drive automation of accounting processes and improvements in ERP usage (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Ensure data integrity and documentation standards in line with audit requirements
  • Monitor KPIs related to financial health, statutory timelines, and system compliance

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory. Additional certifications (IFRS/CPA/ACCA) are an advantage.
  • Experience: 18 years of post-qualification experience in corporate finance, with at least 35 years in a senior finance leadership role
  • Industry Preference: Manufacturing, FMCG, Engineering, or similar process-driven environments

Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards, IFRS, GST laws, and Companies Act
  • Experience in statutory and internal audits
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in financial systems like SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.
