Role Overview

As an
Academic Counselor (South Region)
at Pregrad, you will play a key role in guiding students in
Tamil or Telugu
to make informed career decisions. The role requires you to generate leads, counsel students, and convert those leads into successful enrollments, thereby directly contributing to the organization's revenue. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for
freshers
to gain professional experience in counseling, sales, and student engagement while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities1. Lead Generation and Revenue Contribution

·      Generate leads through calls, online platforms, referrals, and networking.

·      Manage a consistent sales pipeline with self-sourced leads.

·      Convert leads into enrollments to achieve monthly revenue targets.

·      Report daily and weekly updates on leads generated, conversions, and revenue achieved.

2. Student Counselling and Guidance

·      Reach out to prospective students across the South region via calls and messages.

·      Understand students' career aspirations, concerns, and challenges.

·      Recommend suitable Pregrad programs aligned with their career goals.

·      Build trust and confidence by addressing student queries with empathy and professionalism.

3. Enrollment Process Support

·      Assist students in the end-to-end enrollment process, including course selection, fee payment, and registration.

·      Clearly explain fee structures, payment plans, and policies to ensure complete transparency.

·      Conduct follow-ups with prospective students to address concerns and ensure timely closures.

4. Conversion and Student Commitment

·      Guide students to take final enrollment decisions in a way that benefits both the student and Pregrad.

·      Ensure students feel confident and supported throughout their journey from inquiry to enrollment.

5. Coordination and Reporting

·      Document all student communications in the internal database.

·      Draft professional emails and messages for student follow-ups and coordination.

·      Act as a liaison between students and the operations team for smooth onboarding.

·      Share performance and conversion reports with managers on a regular basis.

Requirement

·      Proficiency in
Tamil or Telugu (mandatory)
.

·      Strong communication skills in English and Hindi (preferred).

·      Excellent listening, questioning, and persuasion abilities.

·      Ability to generate leads independently and meet defined targets.

·      Empathy and rapport-building skills with students.

·      Self-motivation, resilience, and goal-oriented mindset.

·      Must have
own laptop and stable Wi-Fi connection
.

Required Knowledge

·      Basic working knowledge of Google Sheets/Excel.

·      Willingness to learn about Pregrad's courses and services in detail.

·      Passion for career counseling, sales, and helping students succeed.
