Job Description

Strategic :

• Functionally Responsible for P&L of all branches of the Eastern Region (Kolkata, Chhattisgarh, Orissa and Jharkhand). Define and Execute the business strategies

• Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.

• Collaboration with the Branch and business development at all geographies.

• Ensure operational excellence by implementing best practices, streamlining processes, and maintaining high service quality standards.

• Representing the company in Industry, Associations, and Events.

• Define, track, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for the department
Operational :

• Recovery realization as per agreed credit terms.

• Source competitive rates from Rail Operators and suppliers for short-term ad-hoc shipments as well as long-term business contracts.

• Negotiate and establish either short-term and long-term contracts or agreements with carriers and suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.

• Responsible for bringing manpower/sales efficiency through process change and automation.

• Analyzing Market Trends and Industry Development to stay competitive.

• Responsible for Business Development and Trade Lane Development.

• Monitoring and follow-up of sales pipelines with a focus on key opportunities.

• Identify new business opportunities, market niches, and potential clients to expand the market share.
Skills & Competencies:

• Post-graduation / Preferably MBA

• Min years of experience in the CTO / forwarding industry

• Seasoned manager with a successful track record

• Good Customer Contacts

• Used to work in large corporation/operation

• Leadership skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to make sound business decisions.

• Should have a thorough understanding of the Multimodal solutions within the Freight Forwarding industry, as well as knowledge of relevant laws and regulations



Key Responsibilities:

The Regional sales Manager is responsible for Overall Product and Business Development for the East Region. This includes overseeing all aspects of product services including sales, customer service, operation and marketing, and recovery management.
