This Position reports to:

IoT Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to initiate and drive technology, software, product, and/or solution development using in-depth technical expertise in a specific area. Each day, you will act as the first point of contact in Research and Development (R&D) for in-depth product or technology-related issues. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting strategic corporate technology management and future product/software/solution architecture.

The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite

This role is contributing to the Motion Business Service Division in Bangalore, India

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Own the UX/UI architecture and take overall design decisions
  • Conduct user research, such as user interviews, prototype testing, card sorting and more
  • Conduct regular competitive analysis
  • Maintain personas and journey maps
  • Create site maps and other information architecture deliverables
  • Create wireframes and prototypes and Collaborate with a development team and product management
  • Take core design decisions and Establish data-driven methods to measure usage and optimize design
  • Keep the design close to ABB branding but maximize re-use of available components

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)

  • Bachelor/Master studies in Design education (Interaction Design, Industrial Design, etc.), or BTech, MTech if demonstrates visual skills and human centricity in their portfolio `
  • 8+ years of UX/UI experience, with at least 2–3 years leading design in IoT, IIoT, or connected device ecosystems.
  • Self-driven and able to collaborate and motivate others Empathy for users Proficiency with design/prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Axure, InVision, Sketch).
  • Knowledge of how to conduct user research, especially things like card sorts and eye-tracking tests
  • Ability to organize a large amount of information
  • Proficiency in conducting interviews and facilitating stakeholder workshops
  • Ideally, experience in designing industrial monitoring applications
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.
