Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end medical billing cycle, including charge capture, coding, claim submission, and payment reconciliation.
  • Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA, ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding standards and payer-specific guidelines.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise the billing team to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance billing accuracy, reduce turnaround time, and improve collection efficiency.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for staff on policy updates, payer regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure precise documentation and coding.
  • Stay updated on payer policies, reimbursement guidelines, and changes in healthcare regulations.
  • Manage and resolve escalated billing issues promptly to ensure high levels of client and patient satisfaction.
  • Work closely with physicians and legal teams to address and resolve billing-related concerns effectively.
  • Conduct routine audits (daily, weekly, and monthly) across all billing processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of auto insurance, law firm, and personal injury billing processes.
  • In-depth understanding of US healthcare billing, revenue cycle management, and payer requirements.
  • Proficiency in CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and medical billing software.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities with a focus on team development.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
