Project Engineering Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Project Engineering Manager is a leader of the project engineering Team who owns the project plan for engineering scope, engineering mobilization planning, on-time delivery and business process adherence, raise change request where appropriate. Implementing process and ensure quality of deliverables. Leading project engineering resources to deliver engineering scope. Develops or coordinates with the respective department associated with the scope of engineering works, prepare a schedule, and monitor engineering activities for the project
• Outlining a budget based on requirements and tracking costs to deliver project on budget. Defining resource requirements and managing resource availability & allocation - both internal and third party. Is responsible for leading and managing engineering projects from inception through to completion. Their role involves a combination of technical expertise, leadership, and project management skills.
• Preparing a detailed project engineering plan to schedule key project milestones, workstreams & activities. Managing delivery of the project according to this plan. Tracking project and providing regular reports on project status to management and key stake holders.
• Managing and adjusting for any changes in project scope, schedule and /or budget. Develop, manage, and track project budgets, ensuring the project is completed within financial constraints. Having good knowledge of document turn-around time and can prepare and monitor engineering schedules. Interface with Projects, Procurement, Process, Quality team at and resolve engineering issues through the teams assigned. To support in proposal estimates & projects execution, having good knowledge of processes and quantity estimates, material coordination etc.
• Ensure project engineering management framework, it is well organised and that it runs smoothly. Coordinate with the project management team during the FEED, EPC stages, till completion
• Monitoring project progress and creating project status reports for project management and stakeholders.
• Monitor all site safety and legal requirements from an engineering perspective. Review project proposals and plans to develop project objectives. Identify project phases and elements. To identify and mitigate risks which may impact successful delivery of projects. Establish specifications for projects based on a thorough review of performance standards, client requirements and product design
• Scheduling stakeholders meetings and facilitating communication between management and stakeholders throughout the project the project life cycle. Oversee the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions, ensuring they meet quality and technical standards. Ensure that the engineering processes and deliverables meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications. Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Understand the principles & advance topics in mathematics for analysis, design and trouble shooting. Familiarize with right tools such as Microsoft project to plan, monitor and regularly report to stake holders on the progress of the project. He shall have the personality and drive to manage, direct, and guide the team to achieve the Project objectives. In addition, he must be assertive and firm in dealing with various discipline Engineer, vendors, contractors Licensors services and other services providers while exercising absolute control on the work. After project completion, conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and identify areas for improvement in future projects.: Continuously assess and optimize engineering processes to improve project efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality. Manage relationships with external vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services required for the project. Negotiate contracts and manage procurement activities to meet project needs.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

• Good exposure and sound knowledge in Ethane cracker & Polyethylene plants in Furnace section, Recovery section, Cold section, Product Purge Bin system, Cycle Gas Compression system, Vent Recovery Compression & Refrigeration system. Exposure to Seebed Bin system, Additive System, Extruder system, Pellet & Pellet handling system, Storage Silo System, Modular Catalyst Feeder, PDS Valve system, Bagging Machines system etc. desirable. Well versed with P&ID, PFD, PDS etc
• Well versed with ASME/API/TEMA/PED/EN/IS/AISC/ASCE codes. Various Licensors & Clients technical specifications & standards.
• Familiar with Engineering Software like PV Elite/AutoPipe Vessel, Nozzle PRO/Ansys FEA Module; 3D Software like S3D/E3D/Tekla; 2D Software like AutoCAD/MicroStation.
• Strategic leadership and subject matter expert of domain specific. Strong technical background in engineering. Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements. • Cross functional collaboration and coordination for the project execution
• Project Planning - Defining the Project Plans, Objectives, Project schedule, Identify & manage Project risk and Project Execution.
