Gegadyne Energy is Mumbai-based start-up developing proprietary Non-Lithium based quick charging battery technology with a primary focus to leapfrog battery technologies to the next stage thereby change the unit economics of everything else associated with it. We are developing a new Advanced Cell Chemistry which is exempt of Lithium, cobalt and other rare elements and focusing on quality and indigenous cell development.

Role Purpose

• As a Program Manager, you will bring order to chaos. You'll run a ruthless weekly cadence, make sure every project has an owner and a timeline, and hold people accountable until it ships.
• Your mission: move technology from R&D certified product without excuses.
• Own the end-to-end execution of technology programs (cell validation, battery pack design, firmware/BMS, certification) from concept prototype validated, certifiable product.
• Build the operating system of the tech org: plans, cadence, documentation, risk control,
• and cross-functional delivery. This role brings order to chaos and ensures on-time, fully
• documented outputs.

Scope

Programs covered: Traction Battery, UPS Battery, BESS pilots BMS/Firmware releases, compliance/certification tracks

Teams interfaced: Testing/Validation, Cell Fabrication, Firmware, Pack Design,

Assembly, Stores, QA/Compliance, Finance.

Decision span: Schedule control, risk gating, change control facilitation, crossteam re-prioritization (with CEO alignment).

Key Responsibilities :

Program Planning & Control

• Translate company goals into program charters with scope, owners, deliverables, milestones, and acceptance criteria.
• Build and maintain integrated master schedules (IMS) with critical path, dependencies, buffers, and resource loading.
• Run rolling 12-week plans with weekly re-baseline where justified (documented via change control).
• Weekly Execution Cadence (Non-Negotiable)
• Monday Commit: finalize deliverables for each owner (DoD/DoR defined), risks, and Un blockers.
• Daily Stand-up (15 min) per stream: surface slippages/blockers; update tracker.
• Friday Demo/Review: working outputs only (hardware/firmware/test reports). No slide-only substitutes.
• Publish meeting notes, decisions, and action registers within 24 hours.

Documentation & Single Source of Truth

• Enforce live documentation: test plans/reports, DVP&R, BoMs, design revisions, firmware release notes, wiring diagrams, FMEAs, certification dossiers.
• Stand up and own the repository (e.g., Notion/Confluence + Jira + Git + Drive/PLM). Define naming, versioning, and approval rules.
• Assign and manage doc owners (e.g., coordinators/engineers) to shadow high-risk work and capture details in real time.

Cross-Functional Coordination & Handoffs

• Align Testing Pack Design Firmware/BMS Assembly Stores/QA with dated handoff checklists.
• Gate every build with readiness reviews (materials, drawings, firmware versions, test jigs, safety checks).
• Track supplier/fabrication readiness (fixtures, jigs, PCBA slots, tooling, lead times).

Risk, Issue & Change Management

• Maintain risk register with owners, mitigations, and due dates; escalate early per matrix.
• Run ECR/ECO (engineering change request/order) process with impact analysis (cost, schedule, compliance).
• Trigger containment & corrective actions for defects; track defect escape rate to next stage.

Compliance & Certification Readiness

• Plan and track AIS 156, UN 38.3, IEC 62133, IP ratings, EMI/EMC as applicable.
• Ensure complete evidence packs (test data, procedures, calibration certificates, traceability).
• Coordinate with external labs; block calendar for sample readiness and shipment.

Cost/Resource Visibility (Execution Support)

• Work with Finance/Stores to track program budgets, BoM freezes, purchase lead times, and burn.
• Pre-empt material shortages; maintain long-lead item watchlist and alternates.

Stakeholder Communication

• Weekly executive summary to CEO: progress vs plan, blockers, decisions needed.
• Maintain program dashboards (RAG status, milestones, risks, actions, owner scorecards).

• Commitment Reliability (planned vs achieved per week): 85%
• Documentation Completeness Index (required artifacts present & signed): 100% for gated builds
• Defect Escape Rate to next stage: trending down q/q
• Mean Time to Unblock (MTTU) for critical blockers: 48 hours
• Change Latency (ECR to ECO close): 10 business days (A-priority)
• BoM Freeze Lead Time before build: 10 business days
• Certification Milestone Adherence: on plan or approved variance with rationale

Required Qualifications

• 6-12 years in program/project management for EV, batteries, power electronics,

or complex electro-mechanical hardware.

• Proven record shipping real hardware under aggressive timelines (preferably

traction batteries/BMS/industrial power).

• Strong working knowledge of battery pack development, BMS/firmware release

management, and validation testing.

• Familiarity with AIS 156, UN 38.3, IEC 62133, IP ratings; exposure to APQP/PPAP,

DFMEA/PFMEA, Control Plans is a plus.

• Tooling fluency: Jira/Asana, Confluence/Notion, Google Workspace, basic PLM,

Git, Gantt/timeline tools, Sheets/Excel.

• Excellent written documentation; ability to create clear checklists, test reports,

and change logs.

• Assertive communicator; comfortable enforcing standards with senior engineers.
