Give Me Trees Trust is a not-for-profit organization actively working towards afforestation, biodiversity conservation, biologic carbon sequestration, environmental literacy and providing livelihood to local community. Our Organisation is now the largest tree planter in India. Give Me Trees Trust has PAN India presence. Swami Prem Parivartan aka Peepal Baba is the founder of the organisation. Our vision is to bring at least 50% of India under green cover and cultivate a love for flora and fauna. Our mission to increase the tree population and native tree cover of our country through plantation and maintenance.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Nature Education Officer to design and deliver engaging educational programmes focussed on flora and fauna, raise awareness about nature conservation, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences. The ideal candidate will hold a Master's degree in Zoology or Botany (or equivalent), possess excellent communication skills, and have 1-2 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop, plan and deliver interactive nature education programmes, workshops, nature walks and field visits for students (school/college), community groups and the general public.

· Prepare and present educational material (e.g., presentations, posters, trails, interpretation boards) on plant and animal life, habitats, biodiversity, and conservation issues.

· Engage with participants through strong verbal and written communication, facilitating learning and inspiring interest in nature.

· Liaise with schools, colleges, NGOs, local community groups and volunteers to coordinate educational outreach and nature‐based activities.

· Conduct field visits and support biodiversity surveys, monitoring of plant/animal species, recording observations and contributing to nature conservation projects.

· Contribute to the creation of educational resources and content (digital, print, social media) to expand reach and impact of the organisation's nature education efforts.

· Maintain accurate records, prepare reports on programme outcomes, participant feedback, and suggest enhancements for future programmes.

· Support logistical arrangements for field trips or events (risk assessments, scheduling, materials, participant communication).

· Stay up to date with developments in zoology/botany and nature education methodologies, and apply best practices to enrich programmes.

Qualifications & Skills:

· Required: Master's degree in Zoology, Botany, Life Sciences or equivalent.

· Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in nature education, environmental education, biodiversity surveys, or related field.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

· Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills; able to engage with a variety of audiences including students, teachers, community members and volunteers.

· Good field knowledge of flora/fauna, habitats, ecology, especially relevant to the region.

· Creativity in designing educational activities and materials; comfortable with both indoor (classroom/lecture) and outdoor (field/trail) settings.

· Computer literacy: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet, email, social media basics.

· Ability to travel to field sites, and work flexible hours (including weekends/occasions) as required by programmes.

· Self‐motivated, organised, able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Desirable:

· Prior experience in nature walks, camps, environmental outreach or conservation projects.

· Knowledge of volunteer management and community engagement.

· Additional qualification/ training in education, pedagogy, interpretation or environmental communication.

Pay: ₹25, ₹30,000.00 per month
