The Chief Nursing Officer (India) will plan, organize and direct the overall operations of Nursing/Patient Care Services. Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards. Maintain performance improvement activities within the function and direct CQI activities. Assure competency of the team across the verticals/ units. Assist in formulating the budget and maintains efficient and effective departmental operations while required compliance with all state, federal, and local regulations laws, standards, and protocols.

Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization; approve the vision, mission of all regional nursing unit in alignment of organizational vision and mission.

· Organize, direct, and administer the Nursing/Patient Care Services in order to provide the level of care required by current international medical and nursing standards.

· Plan and coordinate with the HR Head India for planning the budgeting requirements for personnel, supplies, and equipment of different units in the cluster and apply cost control measures.

· Help in senior nursing manpower acquisition and develop staff development program.

· Maintain continuing quality assessment and improvement analysis.

· Approve equipment, or modification thereto, needed to provide patient care.

· Recommend the modification, addition, or deletion of personnel policies to ensure reasonable hours and acceptable working conditions to provide patient care coverage.

· Maintain close coordination with all department to ensure continuity and collaboration of services, collaborate with physicians, consultants improve the quality of services and to resolve identified problems.

· Proactively develops positive employee relations, incentives, and recognition programs. Promotes teamwork, mutual respect, and effective communication.

· Ensure that cordial relationships are patients and their family, maintain harmonious and effective relationships with the education system, volunteer groups, agencies, and the community.

· Approve the policy decisions that affect Nursing/Patient Care Services in the hospital.

· Participate in the Administrative Counsel, Board of Trustee, and Medical Staff Meetings.

· Implement, monitor and evaluate performance improvement and CQI.

· Assure nursing leadership support for staff by maintaining a Nursing Administration Call rotation at all times and participate on call rotation with the CEO and senior administrative leaders.

· Participate in monthly management meetings to discuss, census changes, personnel and nursing governance issues.

· Implement PMS in all regional nursing units, monitor compliance to JCI and NABH Standard.

· Perform periodical visit to all nursing units in the region to observe nursing governance in all units.

· Establish, implement, and monitor the infection control program.

· Coordinate and/or develop on-going QA activities for nursing services to monitor nursing compliance with standards and regulatory requirements. Compiles summary of findings for the Quality Assurance committee.

· Participate in the preparation of the Plan of Correction response to an inspection survey, and implements any follow-up QA required for any nursing allegations.

· Promote compliance with accident prevention procedures, safety rules, and safe work practices to prevent employee injury and illness and control worker's compensation costs.

· Act in an administrative capacity in the absence of the Administrator.

Qualification:

· Graduation in Nursing, master's degree in nursing/ health care administration.

· 20 years of experience in Nursing.

· 10 years of experience in nursing administration and advanced nursing practice, professional education program development and quality improvement activities, or some equivalent combination of training and experience.
