Quality Engineer Fastener Manufacturing

Location: Faridabad IMT
Reports To: Quality Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Engineer to join our fastener manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will ensure that our fasteners meet the highest quality standards, comply with industry regulations, and exceed customer expectations. This role is critical to maintaining product consistency and driving continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes.

Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance & Control:

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control plans, standards, and procedures for fastener production.
• Conduct inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, tensile testers).
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards and certifications.

Problem-Solving & Continuous Improvement:

• Investigate product quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Lead and participate in process improvement initiatives using tools like Six Sigma, 8D, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Collaborate with production teams to optimize processes for enhanced product quality and efficiency.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Prepare and maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and quality performance metrics.
• Create reports summarizing quality trends and present findings to stakeholders.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and evidence of compliance.

Customer & Supplier Relations:

• Address customer complaints related to product quality and provide timely resolutions.
• Evaluate and approve supplier quality and performance, ensuring materials meet specified requirements.

Team Collaboration:

• Train and mentor production staff on quality standards, processes, and best practices.
• Work closely with design, production, and supply chain teams to address quality concerns and implement changes.

QualificationsEducation:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• 3 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in fastener or metal manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with precision measurement tools, quality systems, and statistical process control (SPC).

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant standards (e.g., IATF
• Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., 8D, Six Sigma, APQP, PPAP).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and quality management software.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
