Job Description – Production Manager

Own the entire production flow end-to-end. Coordinate across all production units, post-press teams, and customers to ensure every job is delivered on time, in full, with zero excuses. This role is the backbone of daily operations.

Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Scheduling

  • Create and manage daily/weekly production schedules across all departments (pre-press, printing, finishing, post-press, dispatch).
  • Allocate jobs to machines and staff based on priority, workload, and deadlines.
  • Identify bottlenecks early and re-route work to avoid delays.
  • Track each job's status in real time and update stakeholders proactively.

2. Coordination & Communication

  • Act as the single point of contact between customers, sales team, and production units for job progress and delivery timelines.
  • Coordinate artwork approvals, corrections, print proofs, and job sign-offs.
  • Communicate priority changes immediately to all relevant team members.
  • Ensure customers receive timely updates without follow-ups.

3. Quality & Process Control

  • Ensure every job meets company quality standards before moving to the next stage.
  • Conduct random checks at each stage of production.
  • Report quality issues instantly and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

4. Team & Workflow Management

  • Assign work to operators and helpers based on skill and machine availability.
  • Monitor performance and ensure productivity targets are met.
  • Maintain discipline in workflow—no job jumping, no last-minute confusion.
  • Ensure all documentation, job cards, and delivery notes are accurately maintained.

5. Deadline & Delivery Assurance

  • Own the responsibility of meeting all committed delivery times.
  • Escalate delays early with reason and corrective plan.
  • Coordinate with logistics/dispatch team for timely delivery.

6. Process Improvement

  • Suggest and implement improvements in workflow, machine utilization, and manpower allocation.
  • Identify repetitive waste, errors, and rework causes—fix them permanently.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2–5+ years in printing/packaging/digital production environment (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of pre-press, digital/offset printing, post-press, and finishing workflows.
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to multitask under pressure and take ownership of deadlines.
  • Basic computer knowledge (Excel, WhatsApp/Web, Job Tracking Tools).
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
