As we continue to expand our operations, we're seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified Accountant to manage our financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support our business growth through accurate financial reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience in the IT services sector and a strong understanding of GST, TDS, and Indian accounting practices.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management

• Maintain accurate books of accounts including ledgers, journals, and financial statements
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
• Handle bank reconciliations and cash flow management
• Process payroll and maintain employee financial records

Compliance & Taxation

• Ensure GST compliance including monthly/quarterly returns filing
• Handle TDS calculations, payments, and return filings
• Manage income tax assessments and compliance requirements
• Maintain statutory registers and ensure adherence to Companies Act provisions
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants

IT Services Specific Tasks

• Track project-wise revenue recognition and billing
• Manage client invoicing for various service contracts
• Handle foreign exchange transactions and compliance (if applicable)
• Maintain cost accounting for different service verticals
• Support business development with financial analysis and projections

General Accounting

• Prepare budget vs. actual analysis and variance reports
• Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting processes
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
• Ensure internal controls and financial procedures are followed

Required QualificationsEducation & Certification

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent
• Professional qualification: CA (Inter), CMA (Inter), or M.Com preferred
• Additional certifications in accounting software will be an advantage

Experience & Skills

• 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in IT/services industry
• Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards and GST regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally ERP 9, QuickBooks, or SAP)
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling
• Experience with TDS, GST returns, and income tax compliance
• Understanding of service tax and foreign exchange regulations (preferred)

Technical Competencies

• Knowledge of ERP systems and financial modules
• Familiarity with project accounting and billing processes
• Basic understanding of IT services business model
• Experience with digital payment systems and online banking

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Finance Manager and will work closely with the senior management team, project managers, and HR department.
