Job Summary

The Shift Incharge is responsible for overseeing all facility operations during their assigned shift, ensuring uninterrupted services, safety compliance, and immediate resolution of operational issues. This role involves supervising technical staff, coordinating with vendors, and acting as the point of contact for tenants and management during the shift.

Key Responsibilities

Shift Operations Management – Oversee daily facility operations during the assigned shift, monitor building systems including HVAC, electrical, DG sets, UPS, lifts, fire safety systems, STP/WTP, and BMS, and ensure smooth shift handover/takeover.
• Team Supervision – Assign and monitor tasks for technical, housekeeping, and security staff; provide guidance and technical support; maintain discipline and performance.


• Tenant Coordination – Attend to tenant complaints, service requests, and emergencies during the shift, and coordinate with the Property Manager for escalations.


• Maintenance & Safety Checks – Conduct regular inspections of critical equipment and common areas, ensure compliance with safety protocols and statutory requirements, and initiate corrective action for equipment faults or hazards.


• Incident & Emergency Response – Lead the initial response to breakdowns, power failures, or emergencies, coordinate with fire safety, first-aid, and security teams, and record and report incidents in the shift log.


• Reporting & Documentation – Maintain detailed shift logs of operational status, breakdowns, and maintenance activities, record utility readings and diesel consumption, and ensure proper documentation of vendor activities and service reports.

Qualifications & Skills

Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Facilities Management.


• 3–5 years' experience in facility operations, preferably in commercial/IT park settings.


• Strong technical knowledge of building systems.


• Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle emergencies calmly and effectively.

Work Environment

Based within the IT Park premises with continuous monitoring rounds.
• Requires working in shifts (morning, evening, night).


• Availability during holidays or emergencies as per duty roster
