Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President, Engineering Lead - Agentic AI
In this role, you'll contribute to Genpact's transformation under GenpactNext as we scale domain-specific Agentic AI solutions that help deliver measurable value to clients. You will support the engineering leadership across key Agentic AI products, including AP Suite and Insurance, and help expand capabilities across service lines.
Genpact's Agentic AI team is focused on building intelligent, autonomous agents that power the next generation of AI-driven enterprise operations. As an AVP – Engineering Lead, you will help drive technical execution, engineering quality, and delivery excellence across a multi-product AI portfolio.
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Engineering Execution
· Contribute to the engineering vision, architecture direction, and technical standards for scalable Agentic AI solutions.
· Ensure engineering decisions support product, platform, and enterprise architecture goals.
Multi-Product Engineering Support
· Drive engineering execution across AI product lines with a focus on consistency, performance, reusability, and delivery speed.
· Support system design, model integration, platform features, and AI governance practices.
SDLC & Delivery Excellence
· Lead end-to-end SDLC implementation with best practices, automation, observability, and continuous improvement.
· Strengthen engineering rigor through code quality, defect management, and efficient release cycles.
Quality, Reliability & AI Safety
· Promote high-quality builds through testing frameworks, automated quality gates, and secure coding.
· Support responsible AI development, emphasizing safety, reliability, and compliance.
Engineering Velocity & Productivity
· Identify improvement areas across engineering processes and delivery workflows.
· Introduce tools, automation, and cross-functional practices to enhance productivity.
Client-Focused Engineering
· Foster a culture centered around user and client empathy.
· Work with product leaders and client teams to translate needs into scalable AI-led features.
Team Leadership & Talent Development
· Coach engineering teams on best practices, technical excellence, and innovation.
· Contribute to upskilling programs and strengthen collaboration across engineering, product, and AI research teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Partner with Product, AI Research, Security, Sales, and Customer Success to align engineering priorities with business needs.
· Provide clear updates on progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
· Master's degree in Technology, Business, or Data Science is an advantage.
· Experience leading distributed engineering teams or pods in an enterprise or technology-led environment.
· Strong expertise in SDLC, automation, defect reduction, and engineering process optimization.
· Solid understanding of platform engineering, cloud-native architecture, and AI/ML integration fundamentals.
· Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
· Experience contributing to or scaling AI/ML, agentic automation, or intelligent workflow platforms.
· Familiarity with Agile engineering practices and modern DevSecOps toolchains.
· Ability to balance engineering rigor with business priorities.
· Experience mentoring engineers and supporting high-performance team culture.
