Job Description – IT Technical Business Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented
Technical Business Analyst
with around 4 years of IT experience, preferably in the
Telecom Infrastructure and Tower Management domain
. The candidate will work on projects involving
OCR-based automation, tower site monitoring, preventive maintenance, and health-check analytics
. This role bridges business operations (field engineers, NOC teams, infrastructure managers) and technical delivery teams (developers, data engineers, AI/ML specialists).

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with
  tower operations, network operations center (NOC), and field maintenance teams
  to understand pain points.
• Gather and analyze requirements for:
• OCR solutions
  for digitizing tower inspection documents, site photos, and equipment reports.
• Tower health-check applications
  (structural integrity, energy/power systems, cooling, alarms, etc.).
• Monitoring dashboards
  for real-time tracking of tower KPIs (uptime, load, energy efficiency, faults).
• Document functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and process flows.

Solution Design and Technical Liaison

• Work with AI/ML and OCR solution teams to define business use cases (e.g., automated reading of tower equipment serial numbers, scanning inspection reports).
• Collaborate with IoT/SCADA engineers for integration of
  sensors, monitoring systems, and tower management platforms
  .
• Support design of APIs, workflows, and data pipelines for real-time health monitoring.
• Assist in designing
  alert mechanisms
  for predictive maintenance and fault detection.

Documentation and Communication

• Prepare
  BRDs, FRDs, user manuals, workflow diagrams, and data dictionaries
  .
• Maintain clear communication with both field stakeholders and IT solution teams.
• Conduct workshops/demos for stakeholders to validate proposed solutions.

Testing and Validation

• Define test cases for OCR accuracy, tower data capture, and sensor integrations.
• Validate tower health-check dashboards, alarms, and predictive maintenance features.
• Support UAT with field engineers and operations managers.
• Participate in issue triaging and resolution.

Agile and Project Support

• Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
• Assist in backlog grooming and feature prioritization for OCR and tower monitoring projects.
• Ensure timely delivery of features aligned with business KPIs (reduced downtime, faster inspections).

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education
  : Bachelor's in IT, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Experience
  : ~4 years as an IT Business Analyst in
  Telecom Infrastructure, Tower Management, or AI/Automation projects
  .
• Core Skills
  :
• Strong understanding of
  telecom tower operations
  (maintenance, site inspections, energy/power systems, remote monitoring).
• Experience with
  OCR technologies
  (Tesseract, ABBYY, Google Vision, Azure OCR, etc.).
• Knowledge of
  IoT, SCADA systems, and sensors
  used in telecom tower health monitoring.
• Familiarity with
  data analytics and visualization tools
  (Power BI, Tableau, Grafana) for tower KPIs.
• Hands-on experience with requirements documentation, user stories, and UML/BPMN diagrams.
• Good technical knowledge of
  APIs, databases (SQL), and system integrations
  .
• Preferred
  :
• Exposure to
  AI/ML-based predictive maintenance
  and anomaly detection.
• Experience with
  field mobility solutions
  for site engineers.
• Knowledge of
  cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  and IoT services.
