We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Search Engineer with deep expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Elasticsearch to design, develop, and optimize our large-scale search and data indexing systems. The ideal candidate will drive performance, scalability, and reliability improvements across our distributed systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless search experiences.

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable search and indexing systems using Elasticsearch.
  • Build high-performance RESTful APIs and microservices with Spring Boot.
  • Optimize query performance, relevance tuning, and data modeling for search.
  • Implement data ingestion pipelines and manage large datasets efficiently.
  • Work with distributed systems and ensure high availability and fault tolerance.
  • Collaborate with product, data, and infrastructure teams to define and refine search capabilities.
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and enforce best coding practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to search, indexing, and service performance.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies in search, distributed computing, and data engineering.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong programming expertise in Core Java (Java 8+).
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and building microservices architectures.
  • Proficiency in Elasticsearch:
  • Query DSL, analyzers, aggregations, relevance tuning, scaling, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with indexing pipelines and cluster management.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and asynchronous systems.
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and multithreading.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
