Role Description:

This is a full-time on-site role for a Child & Parent Development Counselor, located in Mumbai. The counselor will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing personalized learning plans, and offering one-on-one counseling to children and parents. They will work closely with teachers and school administrators to implement cognitive profiling insights into curriculum design and student support. Day-to-day tasks will include conducting workshops, providing teacher training, and preparing detailed development reports for clients.

What You'll Do:

• Lead 90–120 minute counselling sessions with parents and children (standard: 90 mins).
• Deliver insights from Neuroprints and multi-method assessments with clarity and empathy.
• Position results as developmental markers and indicative intelligence, guiding families on strengths, resilience, and growth pathways.
• Adapt your tonality and communication style to each parent — whether professional, casual, or deeply concerned.
• Provide a larger developmental picture, focusing on discovery, resilience, and future potential.
• Create an exceptional experience — every parent should leave feeling empowered, understood, and ready to become an evangelist for NYI.

What We're Looking For:

• Outstanding communication & articulation skills — clarity, confidence, and storytelling ability.
• High emotional sensitivity & adaptability when discussing sensitive topics.
• Strong understanding of child psychology and parent psychology.
• Ability to lead structured, high-impact sessions (90–120 minutes).
• Experience in counselling parents and children; certification in counseling or psychology is highly preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in education, psychology, or career guidance.
• Flexibility to work remote or on-site, depending on program needs.

Qualifications:

• Experience in child counseling, family counseling, and psychological assessment
• Skills in developing personalized learning plans and cognitive profiling
• Ability to conduct teacher workshops and provide training
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of neuroscience or educational psychology is beneficial
• Master's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field
• Ability to work collaboratively with parents, teachers, and school administrators
