Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments. Each day, you will ensure the activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by acting as a design authority for a particular engineering discipline and completing the corresponding engineering assignments.

The work model for the role is: #Li_onsite

This role is contributing to the Robot and Discrete Automation in Ahmedabad.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Coordinate and support the sales team by assessing task potential, conducting technical presentations, delegating tasks based on priority and workload, and ensuring timely and high-quality application development and project closures.
  • Monitor and guide the application teams performance by reviewing progress, handling escalations, maintaining effective communication, ensuring adherence to B&R coding standards, and submitting regular reports to management.
  • Promote teamwork and a systematic work culture by motivating team members, planning technical upgrades and training, maintaining skill matrices, and aligning individual growth with organizational goals.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and clear communication with customers, sales, and internal teams, ensuring smooth project execution from specifications to closure, while maintaining a broad organizational perspective.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelors degree in electrical, electronics, instrumentation, or mechatronics engineering, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in application development and support, ideally within multinational companies operating in the Indian business environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of industrial automation systems including PLCs, drives, motors, motion control, and robotic systems; familiarity with Industrial IoT market requirements is preferred.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong customer relationships in fast-paced, competitive markets, with the ability to network effectively in multicultural environments.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels while maintaining professionalism and integrity.
  • Fluency in English and Hindi, both written and spoken; knowledge of additional local languages is a plus.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel up to 60% as required for business needs.
