Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems that enhance the efficiency and reliability of our operations. You will collaborate with various teams to automate processes, streamline production, and ensure the smooth functioning of all automated systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Development:

• Develop, configure, and implement automated systems for manufacturing & production.

• Design control systems and automation processes for machinery, production lines, process plant and software applications.

• Write and maintain programming code for PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.

• Testing & Troubleshooting:

• Test automation systems to ensure they are functioning as intended.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in automated systems and take corrective actions.

• Ensure all automation systems comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

• Optimization & Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and propose automation solutions to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.

• Optimize existing automation systems to improve productivity, energy usage, and product quality.

• Monitor system performance and recommend upgrades as needed.

• Collaboration & Documentation:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, IT, quality, and engineering) to ensure successful integration of automated systems.

• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for automated systems, including specifications, drawings, and user manuals.

• Provide training and support to operators and technicians on automated system usage.

• Project Management:

• Lead or participate in automation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

• Coordinate with vendors and external partners to procure necessary components or services.
• Develop project schedules and reports for upper management.

Qualifications:

• Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.

• Experience:

• Proven experience (2 or 3+ years) as an Automation Engineer or in a similar role in an industrial, manufacturing, or software environment.

• Experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, robotics, and other industrial automation tools.

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C++, Ladder Logic, or other automation-related languages.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in automation software and tools (e.g., Schneider, Siemens, Allen Bradley, ABB, Rockwell, Delta).

• Knowledge of control systems, sensors, actuators, and industrial automation products.

• Experience in designing and troubleshooting electrical circuits, control panels, and power distribution systems.

• Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of machine learning and AI-based automation solutions.
• Experience with industrial networking and communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profinet).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a manufacturing or industrial environment, which may involve exposure to high noise levels and various environmental conditions.
