DLP Administrator

Job Summary : We are looking for a talented and experienced Infrastructure Security

• DLP Administrator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on experience with Symantec DLP or Broadcom DLP administration, including DLP ICAP, Network Monitor/Prevent, and DLP Discover Day operations. A strong background in network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, Routing, and Switching, is essential. The role requires managing and securing data through effective DLP policies and solutions, ensuring the safety and compliance of our organization's data assets.

Key Responsibilities : DLP Administration & Policy Management :

• Administer and configure Symantec DLP or Broadcom DLP solutions to ensure seamless protection of sensitive data across the network.
• Develop, implement, and fine-tune DLP policies based on the organization's security requirements, ensuring accurate classification of sensitive data.
• Continuously monitor and update DLP rules for compliance and operational efficiency.

DLP ICAP Integration & Configuration :

• Configure and manage DLP ICAP integration with network security appliances, such as web proxies or email filters, to ensure real-time data inspection and protection.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any integration issues related to DLP ICAP configuration and optimize performance.

Network Monitor/Prevent Configuration :

• Administer DLP Network Prevent to block unauthorized data transfers over the network.
• Configure and monitor the Network Monitor to detect and prevent sensitive data exposure through network channels.
• Ensure that DLP Network Prevent policies are aligned with the organization's data security policies.

DLP Discover Day Operations :

• Manage the DLP Discover Day Operations to conduct regular scans of unstructured data across endpoints, servers, and network shares.
• Identify, classify, and remediate sensitive data across the organization using DLP Discovery tools.
• Work closely with data owners and other stakeholders to mitigate risks and enforce data security policies.

Incident Management & Response :

• Monitor and respond to DLP incidents, including data breaches, policy violations, and unauthorized data transfers.
• Provide detailed incident reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
• Collaborate with other IT and security teams to perform root cause analysis for any data loss incidents and implement preventative measures.

Security Monitoring and Compliance :

• Continuously monitor DLP infrastructure to ensure optimal functionality and mitigate potential security risks.
• Conduct periodic audits and assessments to ensure that DLP policies and configurations meet industry compliance standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain detailed records of DLP incidents, audits, and any corrective actions taken.

Networking Knowledge & Troubleshooting :

• Leverage knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing, and Switching to troubleshoot DLP issues related to network traffic and configurations.
• Collaborate with the network team to optimize DLP policies for specific network environments and ensure seamless integration of security controls.

Collaboration & Reporting :

• Work with cross-functional teams, including IT, compliance, and risk management, to align DLP policies with organizational security goals.
• Generate detailed reports on DLP activities, incidents, and performance metrics for senior management.
• Provide training and guidance to other teams on DLP best practices and incident response procedures.

Shift Operations :

• Participate in rotational shifts, including night shifts, to ensure 24/7 support for DLP operations and security monitoring.
• Provide timely response to any security incidents during off-hours, ensuring that critical issues are addressed promptly.
