Role & responsibilities

  1. Strategic Planning and IT Governance


• Develop and drive IT strategy aligning with business objectives.


• Lead digital transformation initiatives including SAP, CRM, DMS, and mobile technologies.


• Define IT policies, SOPs and controls.

  1. SAP System Management


• Oversee end-to-end implementation and management of SAP S/4HANA, including modules like FI, CO, MM, SD, and PS.


• Ensure SAP systems are optimally configured and regularly upgraded as per business requirements.


• Manage SAP support, enhancements, and user adoption across departments.

  1. Non-SAP Applications & Integrations


• Manage integration and performance of non-SAP systems such as CRM (Salesforce etc), HRMS and Engineering Project Tools (like MS Projects, BIM platforms etc.).


• Lead evaluation and implementation of bespoke or off-the-shelf software for functions not covered under SAP.

  1. Project Management


• Lead IT projects including new system implementations, upgrades, migrations (e.g., to RISE with SAP, cloud platforms).


• Manage timelines, budgets, vendor coordination, testing (UAT), and change management. 5. Business Process Optimization


• Collaborate with business units (Sales, Finance, Projects, Procurement, CRM etc.) to map, reengineer and automate processes.


• Drive paperless workflows, document management systems, and internal portals.

  1. IT Infrastructure & Security Oversight


• Coordinate with Infrastructure & Security Heads for smooth operations of network, data center/cloud infra, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery.


• Ensure high system uptime and data integrity.

  1. Team & Vendor Management


• Lead a cross-functional team of IT professionals.


• Manage vendor relationships for software, support, implementation partners, and licensing.

  1. Data & Analytics Enablement


• Facilitate deployment and adoption of Business Intelligence / Analytics platforms (e.g., SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI etc.).


• Ensure data integration, reporting accuracy, and dashboard development to support CXOs.
