Key Roles & Responsibilities
Sales & Target Achievement
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets (primary & secondary) for the assigned area.
- Execute company sales plans and promotional schemes effectively in the market.
- Drive volume growth, outlet expansion, and product visibility across all key routes.
Distributor & Wholesaler Management
- Appoint, develop, and manage distributors and wholesalers as per company norms.
- Ensure proper market coverage, beat planning, and stock availability.
- Monitor distributor performance, stock levels, and secondary sales.
- Resolve distributor issues related to supply, claims, schemes, and operations.
Field Force Management
- Lead, train, and motivate Sales Officers, Sales Executives, and Promoters.
- Plan daily routes, joint field work, and market visits to improve productivity.
- Monitor field KPIs such as coverage, productivity, strike rate, and call efficiency.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and on-the-job coaching.
Operations & Market Execution
- Ensure smooth day-to-day sales operations, order processing, and dispatch coordination.
- Implement trade schemes, displays, and promotional activities at the outlet level.
- Ensure proper execution of merchandising standards and brand visibility.
- Handle market complaints and ensure timely resolution.
Collections & Accounts Control
- Manage outstanding payments, collections, and credit control as per company policy.
- Maintain payment books, distributor ledgers, and collection records accurately.
- Ensure timely collections and minimize overdue and bad debts.
- Coordinate with finance team for reconciliation and compliance.
Reporting & MIS
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Track market data, competitor activity, pricing, and promotions.
- Analyze sales trends and recommend corrective actions.
