Job Summary:

The Store & Purchase Officer (Plant) will be responsible for managing the procurement and inventory of raw materials, spares, consumables, and equipment required for smooth plant operations. The role involves vendor management, purchase planning, and maintaining optimum stock levels at the distillery site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle day-to-day purchase activities for the distillery plant.
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery timelines.
  • Prepare purchase orders and follow up for timely delivery of materials.
  • Maintain records of GRNs, issue slips, purchase registers, and stock ledgers.
  • Coordinate with the production, maintenance, and accounts teams for material requirements and payments.
  • Conduct regular stock verification and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and audit standards.
  • Manage and update vendor lists and price catalogs.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Qualification: Graduate in Commerce / Engineering / Material Management or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in purchase and store management, preferably in an ethanol, grain-based, or chemical plant.

Skills Required:

  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Good knowledge of inventory control systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP software (if applicable).
  • Understanding of plant materials, spares, and procurement cycles.
  • Excellent documentation and record-keeping abilities.

Salary: ₹35,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience & qualification)

Job Type: Full-time
