Job Summary:

The EHS Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards are implemented and followed across the distillery operations. The role includes monitoring safety systems, conducting inspections, training plant staff, and ensuring compliance with statutory and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor EHS policies, standards, and procedures at the plant.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments in all operational areas.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements related to environment, health, and safety.
  • Maintain documentation for Pollution Control Board (PCB), Factory Inspectorate, and other regulatory authorities.
  • Lead incident investigations and ensure implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Monitor waste management, effluent treatment, and air/water quality parameters.
  • Maintain EHS records such as MSDS, permits, checklists, and logbooks.
  • Coordinate with plant heads and departmental in-charges for safe work practices.
  • Promote and maintain a strong "Safety First" culture across the organization.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Qualification: B.Sc / M.Sc (Environment / Chemistry) or Diploma / Graduate in Safety / Environment Engineering.
  • Preferred Certification: NEBOSH / IOSH / Industrial Safety Certification (recognized by DGFASLI / State Technical Board).
  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in EHS roles within the ethanol, sugar, or chemical industry.

Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of environmental and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage audits and government inspections effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and report preparation.

Salary: ₹35,000 – ₹40,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience & qualification)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35, ₹40,000.00 per month
