Role Overview

We're hiring a Frontend Intern to help build a polished, secure Electron desktop application using React + TailwindCSS. You'll work closely with founders to ship user-facing features, maintain a high UI bar, and prepare the codebase for scale. High performers will be considered for a full-time offer at the end of the internship.

Responsibilities

  • Implement production-ready UI in React (TypeScript) + TailwindCSS with clear component architecture and accessibility.
  • Build secure main renderer flows in Electron (preload + contextBridge, IPC, contextIsolation).
  • Own feature delivery end-to-end: state management, forms/validation, error states, keyboard shortcuts.
  • Optimize performance (virtualized lists, memoization, lazy loading) and startup time (Vite/Webpack).
  • Package cross-platform builds; wire up auto-updates and basic telemetry/crash reporting.
  • Write tests (unit/UI with Jest/Vitest + React Testing Library; E2E with Playwright).
  • Collaborate on design system tokens/components and contribute to UI/UX polish.

Required Skills

  • Strong React (Hooks) + TypeScript; TailwindCSS proficiency.
  • Fundamentals in Electron or demonstrable desktop-app understanding (security model, preload/IPC).
  • State management (Zustand/Redux), forms (React Hook Form), routing, Git.
  • Tooling: Vite/Webpack, ESLint/Prettier, basic CI familiarity.

Nice to Have

  • Experience shipping Electron apps for Windows/macOS/Linux; auto-update workflows (Forge/electron-builder).
  • Agentic AI exposure (LLM-driven UX, background tasks, tool orchestration) — big plus.
  • Playwright E2E tests; performance profiling; accessibility best practices.
