UPVC Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented uPVC Engineer to join our engineering team on the cutting-edge Alien Space Station High-Rise Residential Project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, fabrication, installation, and quality control of uPVC windows, doors, and related fenestration systems in a high-rise, high-precision residential structure intended for space habitation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and validate uPVC system drawings, material specifications, and structural compatibility for high-rise and controlled-environment applications.
• Coordinate with faade consultants, architects, and structural engineers to ensure seamless integration of uPVC components with the building envelope.
• Supervise on-site installation of uPVC windows, doors, ventilation louvres, and curtain wall elements, ensuring alignment with project tolerances and zero-defect standards.
• Monitor performance criteria for thermal insulation, air tightness, acoustic sealing, and pressure sustainability for space-adjacent living modules.
• Ensure strict compliance with space-grade building codes, fire ratings, radiation resistance, and sustainability protocols.
• Oversee vendor and subcontractor management for timely delivery, quality fabrication, and defect-free installation.
• Conduct mock-up testing, water penetration testing, and quality audits of installed systems.
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation including method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs), and installation checklists.
• Collaborate with the QA/QC team to implement corrective actions and close NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).
• Drive innovation in uPVC use by recommending smart integration, lightweight alternatives, or hybrid materials suitable for orbital conditions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Civil / Architectural Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in uPVC engineering, with at least 3 years in high-rise residential or specialized infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience with international brands and systems (e.g., VEKA, Deceuninck, Kommerling, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of uPVC fabrication, assembly, sealing, and anchoring systems.
• Familiarity with space or high-altitude environmental engineering is a plus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Project; knowledge of BIM is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
