Role & responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Register patients and update personal and medical information accurately in the hospital system
- Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments as per patient or doctor requirements
- Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to appropriate departments
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other departments for smooth patient flow
- Handle patient check-in and check-out procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of patient records and personal information
- Collect and process payments, issue receipts, and manage billing inquiries
- Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the front office and reception area
- Assist in administrative tasks such as maintaining records, filing, and documentation
- Handle emergency situations calmly and effectively, informing the relevant personnel as needed
- Comply with hospital policies, protocols, and quality standards
Preferred candidate profile
- Education: Graduate degree preferred (any discipline); Diploma in Hospital Administration is an advantage
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in a front office or customer service role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setup
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office and hospital management software (HMS)
- Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations calmly
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
- Polite, patient, and empathetic attitude
