UI/UX Designer (Senior/Lead)

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary UI/UX Designer with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience to lead the design of our digital products. The ideal candidate is a seasoned expert who possesses a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, a proven track record of creating exceptional user experiences, and the ability to drive design strategy from concept to execution. You will be responsible for a wide range of design activities, from user research and wireframing to visual design and prototyping, ensuring our products are intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end UI/UX design process for web and mobile applications, taking projects from initial discovery and user research through to final handoff to development.
  • Conduct and analyze user research to understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points. This includes user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and persona creation.
  • Create detailed wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts and test hypotheses.
  • Develop high-fidelity UI designs and style guides that define the visual language of our products, including color palettes, typography, and iconography.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements and technical constraints into elegant design solutions.
  • Champion user-centered design principles throughout the organization and advocate for the user's perspective in all product decisions.
  • Mentor and provide design guidance to junior designers, fostering a culture of design excellence and continuous learning.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UI/UX design and accessibility.
  • Present design concepts and rationale to internal teams and stakeholders, effectively communicating the value and impact of design decisions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in UI/UX design for digital products.
  • Extensive portfolio showcasing a strong understanding of both UX (user research, wireframing, user flows) and UI (visual design, high-fidelity mockups) with a focus on problem-solving.
  • Expert proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
  • Deep knowledge of user-centered design methodologies and a strong ability to apply them in practice.
  • Proven experience in designing for various platforms including web, iOS, and Android.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • A solid understanding of web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and how to design inclusive products.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a design-related field, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a senior or lead designer role, with responsibilities for mentoring or team leadership.
  • Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to understand design implementation challenges.
  • Experience with design systems and building scalable design components.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and how to use data to inform design decisions.
  • Experience in conducting remote user research and usability testing.
